It seems like a year of the bototm feeders moving up to mediocrity...
Chargers got whacked by losing some guys. But in the end Rivers and Turner are still there. Bucs signed some names, but in the end the QB is the problem there. Bills resigned a wr who chokes and just signed a guy to a 50million guarranttee deal who played 5 games last year. Low level team getting pushed up to a mediocre one. Has anyone signed a player that moves them up to the "WOW look out for them" team? Saints have bigger problems than signing free agents, having half the team suspended for 2-4 games should kill their season, lol. Steelers have cut players that won't negatively effect them. All the while making more cap room to bail them out of the mess they were in. It would not take much for them to make an impact signing to push them up and over from where they were from last year. |

i don't know, but its very disturbing seeing the ridiculous amounts of money being thrown at what are even debateable all-around "superstars". It's going to do nothing but drive the price of everybody else up....way up.
The Steelers will continue to make superstars of good unknowns and plow forward, wisely spending their money, while foolish teams such as Tampa Bay, Washington, and Buffalo continue to try and "purchase" divisions and championships, and almost always failing. Thats a good thing but the bad thing is that these brainless teams are driving costs sky high. The Saints problem now is the supposed "nice" guy and team guy Brees has become very, very greedy and wants ALL his teams money. Manning and Brady type money isn't even good enough for him at this point. Really showing his true colors and becoming quite an unlikeable guy at this point. |

But you're right...the Steelers, Packers, Pats, Giants are all sittin' tight doing wiser things. These stupid teams should sit back and watch these masters doing the right thing and learn something. They're ruining the market for everybody else. |

Right so the no one per say, if we play offense like we can and def like we know who too hasn't really passed us.
Eagles are the Eagles regardless of who they sign, they have coaching issues and Vick is their QB. Can't argue about McCoy he and the DL are their bright spots. Pats are lurking.. lol Packers are due to come back to earth, hopefully. Age will catch up to some players quickly. Giants are still floating, but I think they are due for a let down and their division will tighten up. Eagles cowboys and giants. One has to go out. Brees can go suck ass, lol... He wants to cite that last time he played under a Tag he shoulder got ripped up. Boo freaking hoo. He is due to be jinxed shortly. Saints should stand pat with all the problems they are having having brees contract weighing them down long term is last thing they need. His interview about the bounty scandal was a bit to scripted. No way he didn;t know about it. I bet he contributed to the pot. He repeated something 2 or 3 times. " I did not participate in any Bounty program, nor did I have any knowledge relating to its real existence." http://content.usatoday.com/communit...tter-to-fans/1 I have a big problem with that statement. Using the word "REAL".. So he heard guys joking but never validated it? BS, he knew about. |

Bring back the bags. Because to pay him that ridiculous Manning deal the idiot Colts give him, would be stupid.
Tag him, let him prove he is a big baby and sit out. If goodell handles things the way he should, the Saints season should be toast anyway. |

I won't bet on it. Woodson has shown no sign of decline and their DB can't be worse than last season. Rogers will still be being Rogers. All they need is to draft a OLB who is able to put some pressure on QB so Mathews won't get double-team in every snap.

yeah, that statement was purely written by his attorney or agent. I'm hoping people start to see through this charade that Brees has played on the public. All these commercials with him and his family, with soft music playing, like he's the nicest, purest guy to ever walk the earth...when in reality he's an A-hole, as big of a douche as they come. I never like to see someone get injured, but man, i HOPE someone locks him up early this year and snaps an arm or a leg. Karma will be back for him and mega-greed kills. One of Mark Cuban's favorite sayings : "Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered". |

I no longer see these new contracts being that big of a deal.
The cap was: $52.4 million in 1998 $75 million in 2003 $102.5 million in 2005 $116 million in 2008 Then once these new TV deals get rolling, expect yet another increase. Now as far as upcoming teams, you cannot expect many to really do to much. Big free agents don't usually make a big enough impact to completely change a team. Look at the Eagles last year. I'd be more concerned with teams with new coaching staffs than teams with new overrated players |
