I am only 27 and my favorite steeler changes about every four years so here are my favorite players from various ages of my life..
1.) Kevin Green - around 1994 when I was 10 and really started understanding the game, he was my first favorite steeler.. the hair, the wild style, he made me want to be a linebacker 2.) Jerome Bettis - late 90's. I wasn't a Bam Morris guy. I think I perceived him to be kind of lazy. I have no idea if that was true. But when we got the Bus and his wheels really got going when he had Kordell and Thigpen, those were some of my most bittersweet times as a Steeler fan. 3.) Ben Roethlisberger - early 00's. Ben's rookie year... nuff said 4.) James Harrison - mid to late 00's. When my dad describes the old great Steeler LB's, I picture a guy like James Harrison. Someone with total disregard for everyone, even his own teammates. "That's just Debo," they say referring to Debo from Friday who just didn't GOF.. James might go down as one of my all time favorite football players ever. I support James the way a tebowmaniac supports Tebow. 5.) Antonio Brown (2010-present) - This dude reminds me of a young Hines Ward but with more natural talent. I love the kids attitude the most. I respect his upbringing and his crazy story that led him to the NFL, much less the Steelers. Maybe or maybe not in this format, it would be cool to know when and why certain players are or were your favorites. |

Narrowing it down to 5 is kind of hard. There's been so many great players over the years and it's hard to put one above another, especially when we're talking about different eras. But here's what I've got:
1. Ward 2. Lambert 3. Bettis 4. Greene 5. Lloyd |

IMO Bens rookie year was the most exciting season ever. I have the remarkable run disc but if anyone knows where to get full games/seasons I'd love to have a link.

Yeah, I second this. I'd love to go back and watch the entire rookie season again.
