2012 could be the Steelers year again

For some reason, I got a gut-check that we'll be representing the AFC again in the Super Bowl in 2012. Of course, New England will stand in our way as well as teams like Houston and even (yes, I'm serious) teams like the Oakland Raiders who I think will bounce back in a big way in 2012 as I see the Ravens taking a step back in '12 (lets face it, they lost to some ill teams last season and had a nice run from '08-'11, their due for a setback, ala us in 2009.)

Wherever it is, the AFC Championship will be Pittsburgh/ New England. Mark my words.

While I always want to win the SB, something a little closer on the hit list for us should be to get even with those SOB Rat-turds.....

RED ZONE TD's need to happen...

We were 12-4 with a really piss poor (I think 24th in the league) in the Red Zone. If you knock that down to the top 12 we are in the Super Bowl against the Giants instead of the Pats.

Until the team starts crushing the teams they should instead of playing down to their level the struggle will continue.

If our worst unit (O-line by far) improves significantly we have a good shot.
Our running woes, Ben getting punished.....it falls on them.
Our game planning, attack strategy, and play selection should improve with Haley...we should be excited and hopeful about that.
The competition is getting tougher.

I'd be more worried about Houston if they didn't shell out top dollar for a RB and then cut some OL and lose Mario.

I think playing a soft AFC South will work against them, too.

No 'ifs' there.

It all depends on the odds for 'Burgh and the odds of the other prop bets (I've got a hole to burn in my pocket this year!).

Obviously I'm not going to throw down a G (especially if the odds are <6:1), but I may place multiple bets as the season goes on if/when the Steelers odds go down.

I agree with you here. The Texans had a lot of chances in Bmore to get a win there, with there third string QB. The loss of Mario Williams and Demarco Ryan can hurt their defense though.
