Yeah, and while guys may beat me up as a Mycal Kendricks hater, the thing I see in Spence is that he is always stepping to the play and moving forward towards the play. Kendricks on tape stands firm and lets the play come to him.

There was one play on that clip where Spence was on the weakside vs Georgia and before the snap he starts creeping to the motion. He then runs from the right side of the formation, thru the wash of bodies and makes the tackle on a sweep to his left side.

Smart and either instinctive or does his film work on the defense. Reads the play while moving forward to the ball and then closes and finishes with good leverage. I think he is going to challenge Sylvester for time as a special teamer and backup ILB on Sundays.
