Default Injury Report - Troy, Gilbert and Carter(?) Out

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said safety Troy Polamalu (calf), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) will not play Sunday in Cincinnati.

Tomlin said center Maurkice Pouncey (knee) and running backs Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) and Isaac Redman (ankle) are questionable for the game against the Bengals.

Outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley, who did not play in Tennessee, will play against the Bengals, Tomlin said.

Rookie nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu will also be unavailable for the game after his two-week suspension following a drunk-driving arrest Sunday on the South Side.

Carter certainly has stepped up this season

Hopefully Dwyer can go - I would not risk Mendenhall with a balky achilles injury

Hoping Batch improves. He made some runs of late that showed really bad vision and decision making.

It's real simple:
A championship team wins in spite of adversity.

If this team really thinks of itself as being capable of getting to the Super Bowl, then it really shouldn't matter who's hurt.

I guess we'll find out what they think on Sunday.

Huge to get Woodley back. He may be the most important of them ALL right now. We have the offensive weapons, it's the pressure from our defensive 1st level that's the problem.

Woodley will help in that category tremendously, especially with 92 on the opposite side. Lets see if we can last ONE QRT without injury (cross's fingers.)

one thing i like though is he protects that football and he's an excellent blocker in pass pro.

vision can improve with some experience, im sure he wasn't expecting to play much last week

Pretty sure when he was injured this week he got sent back in still hurt, because he happened to be the least injured guy left. So it was either him, or we hold open auditions on the sideline. Getting sent back in still injured was pretty much sealing the deal for him to miss some games.

I think he fell on his own leg when he was sitting Indian- style while trying to get up off the ground eating Cheeto's with his good pal Willie Colon.
