Default Should the Steelers....

Still be looking at some available free agants? Here are the ones that are left that I'd like for them to check out!

FB Mike Sellers
FB Ahmad Hall
FB Owen Schmitt
S Jim Leonhard
DE Phillip Merling

Obviously 3 good FBs that would help open holes, Leonard is a nice safety that I don't know why he hasn't been signed yet and Merling is a load that could fill anywheres along the D-line!

I would sign the following players
Jake Scott OG TItians -Scott can play both guard and has started 104 consecutive games.Backup role and fill in for Colon if he gets hurt.Cut T.Essex .Sign him to a two year at About 1.2 MIL a season

Max Starks OT if healthy he could star at left tackle or be a backup swing tackle.CUT J.Scott

Chris Hope FS-Has played in our defensive scheme and provides experience to secondary.Could replace Clark for Game 1 and backup the rest of the season until someone gets hurt.Cut Will Allen

Owen Schmitt fb-Could help in short yardage and goalline.Hand the ball to him a couple of times a game and it would surprise everyone even steelers fans.

P.Merlin de-I like the kid.Ithink he is only gooding to get better

Max Starks OT if healthy he could star at left tackle or be a backup swing tackle.CUT J.Scott I didn't put him because I think he still is coming back!!

Chris Hope FS-Has played in our defensive scheme and provides experience to secondary.Could replace Clark for Game 1 and backup the rest of the season until someone gets hurt.Cut Will Allen Already been in the league a LONG time! Won't happen...

Steelers are knee deep at Guard right now with 5 guys 4 of who have played extensively and in a super bowl.

With so many name Fullbacks out there is it finally happening, the extinction of the fullback? I'll take anyone over David Johnson, a fullback, H-back or whatever you want to call them in the future.

Phillip Merling would have to be either well over his listed weight of 276 to play DE here and would have to be lighter to play OLB which I wouldn't put much hope of him being a good one. In 47 career games in the NFL has had 3.5 sacks total.

A healthy Chris Hope would not be a liability in our defense, and could probably win the job over Ryan Clark who is a year older then Hope's 32 years of age..
