Default Troy Polamalu

Troy is expected to attend OTA next week. While not Manditory,it is a change from his routine.Could the also be some changes that are going to happen on defense?

Maybe but I doubt they would be big changes. I think he had a down year last year, he still played above average because he is that good, but for him it was a pretty down year, maybe he is just starting early and making sure he's back at the top this season.

IMO I think he wanted to stay healthy a whole season cause he never played aggressive like he use to...

Remember the AJ Green TD that he could have easily intercepted?? the Troy i know would have gotten that ball.

hopefully it is because aaron smith and farrior wont be there and troy wants to help fill in some of that veteran leadership void.

i am certain youngsters like m. rolle, our young cb's and spence, ta'amu will all appreciate having him there.

Didn't Troy get a few concussions last year?

Also, you know Troy?

Not real sure it was a down year for Troy? The other Safety was medicore in pass coverage but stayed strong on the run.

That is good for Troy but I don't think you will see much of a improvement on his play. Troy is at that age he is not going to get better. I hate to say it but you will start to see his play's going down hill. Age gets us all and Troy is no exception.

I'm not ready to write off Troy just yet. My take is that injuries had more to do with his "drop off" than loss of ability. If he stays injury/concussion free I think we'll see more game changing plays from Troy.

He can decline in play and still be an All-Pro, so it doesn't really even matter.

With a new corner starting maybe Troy will be dropping back more and picking up the slack for beginner mistakes. Might not make many splash plays but will still be a tremendous help.
