No fluke in either game but we had a real good shot at the second one. Faggo must have gotten hypnotized like Bootney Farnsworth at halftime. Bottom line we got our azz beat, it won't happen this year though.

Flukes
The better team won both games.
1st game they exposed our putrid O-line, they were manhandled pure and simple.
2nd game they march down the field against our D showing a more consistent offensive confidence. We could't stop them in a big spot. They converted 3rd downs easily.
They made good play calls and Flacco executed. They were better, period.
Well, our O-line is going to be much better. They won't get beat up this year.
Their D took a hit via injury and age has to show up sooner or later for Lewis and Reed.
The revenge factor plays well for us, it's a nice mental edge to have.
I like our chances much better this year.

The two losses against the Rats in 2011 were not flukes. Baltimore is always a tough rival who was going to have the ball bounce their way against the Steelers eventually.

What some do not see is that throughout the 2011 offseason, Baltimore had their target sighted on Pittsburgh. The Ravens dedicated their 2011 season to beating their nemesis. Baltimore's big rally cry in 2011 was "Beat Pittsburgh". After both games, the Ravens suffered incredible letdowns against inferior opponents (Titans and Seahawks). We mean a sizable amount more to them than they do us. The Steelers are the Ravens' Super Bowl. We are everything they want to be.

The Steelers have a lot more to prove in 2012 than just beating Baltimore. We already know they can beat the Ravens, and I'm pretty certain they will. They just have to keep doing what made them (3 Super Bowl Appearances, 2 Wins) more successful than them (0 Super Bowls) over the past couple years.
