Default Mark Warner

Let me start this thread by saying that I am an Independent. I am neither a Demo or a Repub as I think both parties are out for themselves and have made some bad decisions and put forward some bad people as their leaders.

But there are some pols out there that are actually worth their salt and Mark Warner is one of them. I have included a link detailing his accomplishments in Virginia. Governor Warner has experience running a governement. A government this is as diverse as the country itself. Many candidates that are emerging for 2008 don't have his type of experience. They have been college presidents, mayors, and congressman, but few have been governors. And none of them have accomplished what Mark Warner has accomplished. Some of you are hesitant to vote for a Democrat. But I say vote for a candidate who is the best choice for America regardless of party affiliation. There are good people in both parties and it's time they came together and did what was right for America.

You might not vote for Governor Warner. It might be because of party politics or some other reason. But you owe it to yourself to at least give Governor Warner a glance and see what he's done for Virginia and think about what he could do for America.

As a fellow independant, I give everyone a fair shake. I don't know much about him so i will read up on him if he decides to run. Thanks for the tip.

I do think that some of the more successful presidents have come from outside of or are relatively new to politics. So, I wouldn't count someone out jsut cause they don't have Executive branch experience.

I would take a successful and intelligent business leader over a lifelong politician with a poor record any day.

In a normal time I would agree with you. But these are not normal times. America needs a leader who is not learning on the job. And besides, there are some very good politicians out there who can do an outstanding job without having to resort to someone who would spend the first year doing on the job training.

Always more then one way to look at it, I guess. Maybe that's what makes me a moderate independent!
