Steelers could use a 4 - 3 defense package?

Not to mention Harrison, maybe our best LB, is off the field in every situation mentioned, in favor of Hood, McClendon, or Heyward. Plus Woodley is more of a 3-4 fit, as is Keisel and our NT's. They've used it a few times and I'm sure they will every now and then, but it won't be "the defense" in Pittsburgh anytime soon.

i think Hood would make a better 4-3 DT then a 3-4 DE. he played it in college and i really didnt see him as an end when we drafted him

i wonder if lebeau has something up his sleeve. we have 4 capable D-linemen, and we also drafted spence, who's on the smaller side for a 3-4 linebacker, but could be disruptive in a 4-3.

Not saying that he can't do very well in a 3-4, but who knows, maybe they plan to make it a hybrid defense on some packages

trust me, I want to see Harrison on the field as much as anyone, but he is having some issues staying healthy. In fact if he plays more than 10 games this yr, I will be pleasently suprised.

I think at this point, if we can keep him healthy for the final push by rotating him then I would be thrilled

The dude is a walking wound - not saying he still isn't great, but I don't think you're going to see the Harrison of 07' - 10' anymore.

No, I think it was a 10 - 1.

I'd love if we had a 4-3 package. Don't have to use it often - but a few times a game when LeBeau feels it would be a good fit - another things opposing teams need to prepare for.
