Pretty good except for that one guy that kept cussing like a sailor. Would have been nice to have some sort of language warning so my kids weren't exposed to "F" bombs and "GD's".

yea, I hear ya. The worst is always having the 1 obnoxious grown man sitting near you at Heinz, while 40 something years old, still thinks its ok to drop f bombs and use gay slurs like he was at a frat party, all the while there are about a half a dozen families surrounding him.

I will say, if I go to a sporting event where alcohol is likely involved to some extent, I expect some swearing here and there, but even then I usually get the drunks saying "oops, I keep forgetting there are kids, my bad . . ." At least they are conscious of it. The ones that come right out and say they don't care are the ones that should be given the boot . . .

I wouldn't go as far as saying they should get the boot for not caring about using swears in front of kids. I guarantee it ain't nothing the kids haven't heard in school before, or from family every once and a while. I think your years of good parenting and influence will over power the behavior of the drunk/rude fan. If I brought my kid to a game I would fully expect to hear swears and gay slurs in a crowd of 65K mostly buzzed adult males that are passionate about their city/team and hatred of that **** sucking ****** Tom Brady, Mark Sanchez etc etc.

When I take my kids to a game I understand that there is a pretty good chance they are going to hear some swearing. But that is a whole different scenario than a radio podcast that is supposed to be breaking down the Steelers. I thought those guys were quasi journalists.

I've taken kids to games in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Charlotte and Atlanta. Atlanta was the only place we ended up next to people who couldn't behave properly. Beer is not an excuse. And the game in Indy was the playoff game in '06. They had reason to be emotional.

Oh and let me be clear, I'm not attacking The Dude or his podcast, I rather enjoyed it. I was only giving a little constructive criticism and warning other posters that may not want their kids hearing some colorful adjetives.

Let me clarify - I've always anticipated swearing and hootin and hollerin, but when its a constant "effin fag" this and "effin fag" that for an entire half, then you try to politely ask the dude to at least tone it down a bit, and he gets belligerent towards you, your kids, and in front of his own and others - the guys gotta go IMHO
