Good sign. Jets giving up already. Take note of that Tomlin going into the half.

Let's hope the D plays better in the 2nd half. We have the lead, let's not lose it.

That was pretty funny. But hey, this would be a very irritating and frustrating game without some gallows humor!

Thoughts Going Into the Second Half...

If we win this game courtesy of the D, it will be a miracle. This is going to likely end up being the shootout that I was hoping it wouldn't be. Our Offense is looking much better than it would appear. 3rd down conversions are an issue - but, otherwise, we're up 3 going into the second half with a balanced offense that will keep the Jets D honest - and it helps that Ben is looking VERY efficient. Also kudos to Squeez-um.

Thankfully the Ravens and Pats lost - but we need to capitalize, especially on Baltimore.

Stats alone won't win the game, but for what it's worth, in terms of comparing QBs:

Big Ben: 13-16, 148 yds
1 TD

Sanchez: 4-10, 80 yds
1 TD

my thoughts: The offense and Ben both look subdued and careful...almost a second or two behind. But i believe thats just coming from getting used to the new offense and making sure they're running Haley's plays correctly. They're somewhat efficient. Need some bigger plays. We need a bigger running game, Dwyers trying...but we need a healthy Redman in there running like he did at the end of last season.

The defense? What puzzles me is how the Jets don't have 27 points right now instead of 10. LeBeau and Tomlin need to reach into those guys heart and souls and demand some "passionate" play out there on that field. Right now they look almost like dead bodies playing football. Also have to try and create turnovers. At this point, we're not even trying to strip fumbles or INT passes.

Patience with the rush may pay off. It's looking anemic now, but that last scoring drive made the statement that O needed to make. Now if the D would step up, we can stop this from being a shootout (in this case, a type of game that I would not be very confident about)
