Default 13 seconds to go

Why don't we call a time out. Yeah it probable wouldn't have mattered but at least we would have had a chance. No let the clock run down to 4 seconds and let them win on a field goal that you knew they were going to make. What happened to playing the whole 60 minutes. That is what is wrong with tomlin. Cowher would have called the timeout. Just my thoughts.

I think it's been shown, statistically speaking, that "freezing" a kicker was a fad and more or less a myth. A kicker is no more or less likely to make a kick by spending a TO. And if you're arguing that they should have done so beforehand so that we might have gotten the ball back - the Raiders had the downs to kneel down the clock to essentially nothing, regardless. I know what you're getting at - but I think it's a moot point, honestly.

I don't think the OP was talking about freezing the kicker but leaving some time on the clock for a last play.
