In case you missed it... here is the concensus take: 1. Casey the Hutt has sucked for four years. no one can believe he even made the roster, let alone given the starting job. 2. Keisel fell off a cliff. Great, then good, and now (lost). 3. Start Heyward; he's good. Start McClendon; he can't be any worse. |

The reason? Dick's defense is too hard to figure out? I actually think this is B.S. but I think that is what is stated because they really don't like to play younger guys for a year or two or three or four or five. I think Heyward can play, but we won't really know until he 'learns' the defense around year 6. |

Timmons had a good first seven games in 2010 then was horrible after that if you watch film and don't look at stats. One of the worst signings this franchise has ever made giving him the extension

Figuring out Dickard's Defense is simple...
If you're a D-Lineman, we don't want production out of you. We want you to stand around and be a titty-fighting fat piece of shit. Heyward and McClendon aren't inclined to be fat pieces of shit yet, so they ride the pine. Ziggy Hood was a beast, but he wasn't a fat piece of shit. So we bench him and neuter him, now we get upset at Hood because his production is gone. No, the blame is on Dickard and Mitchell for neutering him. |

Perhaps we are the fools for thinking that two guys on the wrong side of 30, with surgically repaired knees, following torn ACLs less than a year ago would deliver Probowl caliber play on the field?

2 big splash plays killed us. Both audibles at the line of scrimmage with our defense showing their hand (how many TIMES did Palmer use his hard-count to make us show our Joker? Undisciplined.)
The big splash play in Denver was Thomas's 71 yard WR screen for a TD, and the other was McFadden's 64 yard jaunt. Killed us. It's Tomlin always talking about creating our own splash plays. We got bit this time twice. Result? 1-2. Got to fix it.

With the way contracts are structured and limited bench size...they don't have the luxury of sitting a guy for 2-3 years anymore. |
