Steelers CB Ike Taylor has been targeted 44 times, allowing 24 catches for 392 yards and four touchdowns through the season's first five games.
Through five games in 2011, Taylor allowed just three catches for 24 yards, so his play has gone into an absolute free-fall. In Thursday night's loss against the Titans, Matt Hasselbeck targeted Taylor nearly one-third of the time. Per Pro Football Focus, Taylor has graded out as one of the league's worst corners in 2012. Only Chicago's Tim Jennings and Miami's Sean Smith have been thrown at more. Look for the Bengals and A.J. Green to work on Taylor early and often in Week 7. |

Longing for the days of Rod Woodson - the last TRUE shutdown corner.
How long has it been? 20+ years?

Hey Black, now now, your only on 31 posts. You will piss off some people talking like that, lol.
What about adding in the penalties? 7 PI's? For 250=642? so targetted 24 times, at least 7 calls, thats 31 times out 44 that action(21 yards per action) of some sorts went to him has resulted in a positive gain.? Wow 75%.... Thankfully he is a shut down corner or he would be giving up a lot more. I mean those numbers are good for a shut down corner? hahaha. To think he had supporters just last week here after only 5 shit ass games in a row. Now he gets AJ Green next weekend. Based on those numbers it would be hard pressed to fine another CB with those numbers over the past 2 years? Why you ask? Because their ass would've been cut or benched thats why! lol |
