Default Treason

obama and hillary facilitated the overthrow of a compliant and cooperative regime and allowed it to be displaced by an islamist regime. They allowed our embassy to be overrun and our ambassador to be raped and murdered. Turns out that was revenge for one of our strikes in Pakistan.

There was no riot. They knew it was coming more than a week before it happened. They allowed it to happen then blamed it on a “riot” in “protest over an Internet video”. Inside of 24 hours after the disaster they knew that al qaida elements had attacked the Bengazi embassy. They have now been identified.

"Well, the facts are there was never a riot," Graham told Bob Schieffer of CBS News. "The night in question, September 11, Ambassador [Chris] Stevens was being visited by the Turkish ambassador. There wasn't a soul around the compound. And the coordinated attack lasted for hours with al Qaeda-associated militia.”

“…that was known by the administration within 24 hours," said Graham. "And, quite frankly, [U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations] Susan Rice, on your show on September 16, the president on the 18th, and the 25th, kept talking about an attack inspired by a video. They`re trying to sell a narrative, quite frankly, that the Mid-East, the wars are receding and al Qaeda's been dismantled, and to admit that our embassy was attacked by al Qaeda operatives and Libya leading from behind didn't work. I think undercuts that narrative. They never believed the media would investigate. Congress was out of session, and this caught up with them.”

“The point everyone misses is that Gadhafi was not a radical Islamist,” Muftah told WND. “Gadhafi kept al-Qaida out of Libya. If it had not been for NATO, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, al-Qaida would not be in Libya and Chris Stevens would still be alive.”

'Within 24 Hours': When U.S. Intel in Libya Told Washington 9/11/12 Was Terror Attack
By Terence P. Jeffrey
October 14, 2012

(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Lindsey Graham (R.-S.C.), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday that the U.S. intelligence community in Libya informed the administration in Washington, D.C., within 24 hours of the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya that the attack had been a terrorist strike whose perpetrators included militia associated with al Qaeda.

Graham said the fact that the administration was still publicly declaring more than five days later that the attack may have arisen as a spontaneous protest indicated that either "they are misleading or incredibly incompetent."

"Well, the facts are there was never a riot," Graham told Bob Schieffer of CBS News. "The night in question, September 11, Ambassador [Chris] Stevens was being visited by the Turkish ambassador. There wasn't a soul around the compound. And the coordinated attack lasted for hours with al Qaeda-associated militia.

"My belief is that that was known by the administration within 24 hours," said Graham. Congress was out of session, and this caught up with them.

"I think they have been misleading us," said Graham, "but it finally caught up with them."

Schieffer then told Graham: "Well, that is a very serious charge you just leveled, Senator Graham. "Are you saying the administration deliberately misled the American people to make it look as if terrorism is not as much of a threat as apparently it is?"

"Either they are misleading the American people or incredibly incompetent," Graham said. "There was no way with anybody looking at all that you could believe five days after the attack it was based on a riot that never occurred. There was no riot at all. So to say that, you`re either very incompetent or misleading."

Schieffer challenged Graham to explain where he go the information to challenge the credibility of the administration's statements about what happened in Libya.

"Where did you get this information that led you to this conclusion?" asked Schieffer. "Did you talk to officials there? Did you talk to people in the CIA? Did you talk to people in the administration? How are you so convinced of what you have just stated?"

Graham said that the U.S. intelligence commmunity in Libya had told both him and Sen. Bob Corker (R.-Tenn.) that they had informed Washington within 24 hours that the attack in was a terrorist attack.

"The intelligence community on the ground in Libya has told Senators Corker and myself that within 24 hours, they communicated up to Washington that this was a terrorist attack," said Graham. "The president of Libya on the same date said it was a terrorist attack. The video of the compound shows that there was nobody at the Benghazi consulate. There was never a group to riot. And the evidence is overwhelming, and the idea that it was spawned by a video and a riot would hold the administration blameless. They said it was a copycat of Cairo. It wasn`t a copycat, it was a sustained attack that lasted for six or eight hours using heavy weapons, which undercut the idea that al Qaeda has been dismantled and on the run. And it certainly undercuts the idea that our policy choices in Libya have not going after the militia, not helping the Libyans train a national army were good choices.

On Sept. 16, five days after the attack in Benghazi and four days after Graham says the intelligence community informed Washington that the attack had been a terrorist attack, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice appeared on "Face the Nation" and assured the country that the administration had no information to suggest the attack had been preplanned.

"We do not have information at present that leads us to conclude that this was premeditated or preplanned," Amb. Rice said.

Sen. Graham said that it was not just Amb. Rice, who--even after the intelligence community had informed the administration Benghazi was a terrorist attack--continued to suggest to the nation it had been a spontaneous protest to a video tape posted on YouTube.

"Well, it`s not just Susan Rice, the president of the United States said it was the result of a video on David Letterman two days later," said Graham. "And the facts are very clear. There was never a riot. There was never a group of people around the embassy. It was a coordinate terrorist attack that took hours. Patrick Kennedy from the State Department briefed congressional staffers the day after the attack saying it was a terrorist attack. The next day, after she [Amb. Susan Rice] was on your show, the counter-terrorism deputy said it was a terrorist attack. And the president after that went on national TV, "The View," and David Letterman talking about we're not sure if this was inspired by a video, a hateful video."

Named: Al-Qaida men who killed ambassador
'Obama administration failed miserably to protect Stevens'
October 14, 2012
by Jerome R. Corsi

WND is in receipt of a 270-page intelligence report in Arabic originating from Libya that names specific al-Qaida operatives in Libya as being responsible for the murder of U.S. Amb. Christopher Stevens.

The report originated from Muftah Faraj, a member of the Warfalla tribe of Bani Walid in Libya, who is currently in exile from Libya, subsequent to a Skype teleconference Faraj conducted with WND from the Middle East.

The intelligence report blames President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and NATO for engaging in a war against Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi that ended up destabilizing Libya to the advantage of radical Muslim elements including al-Qaida.

After Arab researcher Walid Shoebat translated and analyzed the intelligence report for WND, the document held such specific intelligence about the circumstances and people involved in the attack on Stevens that WND decided to share the intelligence report with the CIA.
To the surprise of WND, the CIA replied the agency had independently obtained the document and the information contained was known to the Obama administration, even though the Obama administration has not chosen to share with the American public the key findings contained in the report.

The document names Mohammad Abdullah Aqil, a wealthy and corrupt individual who owns and operates a Mercedes car dealership in Tripoli, as the principal funder of al-Qaida in Libya.

Walid Shoebat further confirmed that during Gadhafi’s rule, Aqil worked with Abdullah Sanusi of Gadhafi’s secret service, where Aqil provided the financing to implement logistics that were aimed to carry out assassinations of anti-Gadhafi Libyan expatriates living in France, Lebanon, Egypt and mostly in Greece.

After falling out of favor with Gadhafi, Aqil was put in prison for six months, turning him against Gadhafi and the regime.

The document further specifies Aqil works closely in Libya with Abdul Hakem Belhaj, the chief al-Qaida operative who organized and directed the terrorist attack that killed Stevens.

In 1992, after the Mujahadeen took Kabul, Belhaj traveled across the Middle East and Eastern Europe, before returning to Libya to form the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), a group that failed to overthrow Gadhafi in two decades of fighting.

After President Obama and Secretary Clinton expressed support for the Libyan revolution and engaged in military action against Libyan military forces loyal to Gadhafi, Belhaj then became the leader of the Misrata revolutionaries who ultimately captured the capital Tripoli and finally succeeding in ousting Gadhafi.

After Gadhafi was deposed and murdered, the report documents Aqil applied his wealth to assisting Belhaj in supplying vehicles and military equipment for Libyan revolutionaries and al-Qaida terrorists opposed to the regime imposed on Libya by Obama, Hillary Clinton and NATO.

“It is also common knowledge that the death of Stevens was a plot by al-Qaida, which vowed to revenge for a U.S. military drone attack that killed in Pakistan al-Qaida second-in-command Abu Yahya al-Libi,” Shoebat summarized. “Indeed by killing Stevens, al-Qaida got its revenge. The tragedy is the Obama administration failed miserably to protect Stevens and the other three brave Americans killed in the terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi.”

“Abdul Hakim Belhaj, whose real name is Abdul Wahab Ghaid, also wanted revenge for the killing of his brother, Abu Yahya al-Libi the second man in Al-Qaida, who was killed in Pakistan,” Shoebat stressed.

Belhaj had a second personal motive for wanting to see Stevens dead.

In an interview last year, Belhaj, then identified as a senior rebel commander, told the Guardian how he was tortured in Bangkok by two CIA agents, before being returned to Libya, where he was tortured again.

After Obama, Clinton and NATO sided in Libya with the rebels against Gadhafi, al-Qaida operatives suddenly became legitimate in Libya and Belhaj became a hero carrying out the Obama-Clinton-NATO plan for the anti-government rebellion to oust Gadhafi.

Today, after masterminding the al-Qaida plan to kill Stevens, Belhaj claims he has a clean slate and is no longer an al-Qaida member.

Remarkably, Belhaj is currently suing the U.K. commission in charge of Diego Garcia over his 2004 extradition to Gadhafi’s Libya, asserting his personal civil rights were violated.

Could A Treason Trial Be In The Air? Newly Declassified 9/11 Docs Reveal The Real Enemy: George W. Bush

June 21, 2012 at 06:03:11
Another Reason For Mitt To Treat Bush Like Poison
Washington, D.C., June 19, 2012 -- The National Security Archive today is posting over 100 recently released CIA documents relating to September 11, Osama bin Laden, and U.S. counterterrorism operations. The newly-declassified records, which the Archive obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, are referred to in footnotes to the 9/11 Commission Report and present an unprecedented public resource for information about September 11.
Hammering nails into the coffin of the Bush administration's involvement in 9/11 hasn't been easy: Republicans have avoided the topic for a decade. They'll certainly be spinning everything they can with this latest revelation: pointing to Clinton, distancing themselves from Bush, painting the CIA as dunderheads, maybe even saying that al Qaida didn't really exist before 9/11. Whatever the spin, however, the fact remains: Bush knew about imminent attacks from the very beginning of his Presidency and even hampered efforts to catch/kill Bin Laden.
Perhaps most damning are the documents showing that the CIA had bin Laden in its cross hairs a full year before 9/11 -- but didn't get the funding from the Bush administration White House to take him out or even continue monitoring him. The CIA materials directly contradict the many claims of Bush officials that it was aggressively pursuing al - Qaida prior to 9/11, and that nobody could have predicted the attacks. "I don't think the Bush administration would want to see these released, because they paint a picture of the CIA knowing something would happen before 9/11, but they didn't get the institutional support they needed," says Barbara Elias- Sanborn , the NSA fellow who edited the materials.
From June to September 2001, a full seven CIA Senior Intelligence Briefs detailed that attacks were imminent, an incredible amount of information from one intelligence agency.
Documents also show that the CIA gave warnings to the out-going Clinton administration, indicating that Bush knew about them from the very onset of his Presidency.
Big News?

To many people, the new evidence is not surprising, but what is the most damning about the situation is that the Bush administration defunded the CIA operation monitoring al-Qaida and bin-Ladin just as it was gathering this critical intelligence. Even the associated security meetings were downgraded to mere deputy level. Conspiracy theories have always centered around "intentional neglect" of some sort, and now that part of the theories seems more plausible than ever.

But can Bush be held accountable IN TIME?

And will Democrats make the revelation a stance against any of Romney's foreign policies? As de -regulator in national economic affairs, Romney has struggled to distance himself from the disastrous effects of the Bush administration while trying to convince the American public that Bush had set the stage for bin Laden's death.

"I think the tools that President Bush put into place -- GITMO , rendition, enhanced interrogation, the vast effort to collect and collate this information -- obviously served his successor quite well," Rove said on Fox News.
The newly revealed documents now catapult statements like this into the highest category of BS in U.S. history.
Accusations of war crimes have hung over the Bush administration for years with nations such as Malaysia creating tribunals, but with these entities having little affect on the former President's image of himself as defender of democracy. The latest evidence of prior knowledge of imminent attacks, however, may be approached from a different angle: treasonous neglect. Failure to act sufficiently in defense of the country, combined with the acts of downgrading and defunding intelligence efforts regarding a known threat, certainly calls for action of some sort.

The timing of the declassification of the documents couldn't be more ironic: with President Obama declaring Executive Privilege in the matter of "Fast and Furious" and in defense of Attorney General Holder, Republican congressmen will have a hard time maintaining focus.

Spin. Cover-ups. Focus. Distractions. If the CIA documents gain any traction in the coming weeks, our political scene is going to get a lot dirtier ...and definitely more entertaining.

Why does the word "treason" never get tossed around whenever these presidents declare war unilaterally? Quite the opposite: we have think tanks boosting the idea of the "unitary presidency" (AKA, a monarch) all while self-proclaimed "republicans" - here on this forum and elsewhere - nod their heads in approval.

That issue aside, I can't think of a president who didn't richly merit a treason trial followed by execution by drawing and quartering. This president is no different.

For those on the impeach Obama bandwagon for Benghazi there is information to beam to them from Planet Earth

The Romney campaign may have misfired with its suggestion that statements by President Obama and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice about the Benghazi attack last month weren’t supported by intelligence, according to documents provided by a senior U.S. intelligence official.

“Talking points” prepared by the CIA on Sept. 15, the same day that Rice taped three television appearances, support her description of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate as a reaction to Arab anger about an anti-Muslim video prepared in the United States. According to the CIA account, “The currently available information suggests that the demonstrations in Benghazi were spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved into a direct assault against the U.S. Consulate and subsequently its annex. There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.” ......

Ironically, the Sept. 15 talking points that were the basis for Rice’s televised comments were requested by the House intelligence committee

No-fly list strands man on island in Hawaii

Hawaii is a paradise for most visitors. But it was Wade Hicks Jr.'s prison for five days.

The 34-year-old from Gulfport, Miss., was stranded in the islands this week after being told he was on the FBI's no-fly list during a layover for a military flight from California to Japan....

How could someone on a list intelligence officials use to inform counterterrorism investigations successfully fly standby on an Air Force flight?

Hicks said he was traveling to visit his wife, a U.S. Navy lieutenant who's deployed in Japan. He hitched a ride on the military flight as is common for military dependents, who are allowed to fly on scheduled routes when there's room.

Hicks said that during his layover at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent told him he was on the no-fly list and wouldn't be allowed on a plane....

He got a hotel room at the Pearl Harbor naval base while he worked things out. Being on the list didn't stop him from staying on a base that's home to submarines, cruisers and destroyers.

Hicks said he called politicians in Mississippi and Hawaii and brainstormed ways to get home with friends, speculating on taking a private plane, a cruise ship or even a fishing boat from Alaska. He then got a call on Thursday that he had been removed from the no-fly list.
