who still thinks these refs are any better than the replacements?? I've also noticed that the replacement refs didn't play favorites with the Brady/Manning/Rodgers of the world. Note how their passer ratings improved markedly after the regulars got back to town.

The nice thing about them was they didn't enforce the 5 yard defensive holding or PI calls like the regular assholes do... Probably because they are used to reffing real football games where guys (and kids) fight for thrown footballs.. Not this glorified arena football shit the NFL is putting out and instructing the refs to call.

The NFL rule book states: NFL Rule 3, Section 22, Article 2, Note 2. When [an offensive] player is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body. Also, if the player has tucked the ball into his body and then loses possession, it is a fumble.
