Patriots - running up the score. Again.

Why do they feel they have to do this?????

To pad stats? The need to "show everybody how good we are?". I don't understand. You have 52 points on the board - then 59 - you're up FIVE touchdowns with almost no time left - and your starters, even Brady, are still in there....
I just don't get it.
Every other team in the NFL - and name them all off right now if you have to - EVERY team - bar none - would have had backup QB's getting a little experience, other guys, etc.
No other team "runs up the score" (aside from Drew Brees continually padding his passing stats). Its not like it was a tight-knit game where it could have went the other way.
I really - really - hate this team.

I have to agree! Belichek has always played his guys long and hard, just what he does. At least he is consistent!

I think you sometimes need to draw a distinction between the "organization" and the players. Ben and Harrison have had some issues but I think the Rooney family is very well-regarded. Didn't get much attention but I saw an article the other day:

"Along the lines of classy people, Steelers owner Dan Rooney never ceases to impress. Roughly 30 minutes after his team suffered a narrow loss to Baltimore on Sunday night, Rooney stepped into the Ravens' locker room to congratulate and shake hands with Baltimore coach John Harbaugh. I do not mean to discredit the Kraft family, I am just pointing out some evidence that contradicts your assertions.

I'm kind of ok with it. I think there is something to be said for just saying, you know what? We have a pedal-to-the metal approach all the time. We never let up. Never. And just stick with that - always.

It may not be wise, it may not make sense to some people, but you just decide who you are and stick with it. There are worse things than having a consistent philosophy even if it rubs people the wrong way.

If they're able to do it, why wouldn't they? Also, they weren't running up the score like you make it seem. Luck threw two pick sixes and the Patriots offense just kept marching against a truly bad Colts defense.

How many titles have the Pats won since Spygate? You can point out a few classless incidents from the players on any team but that won't change the fact that your head coach walks around in a hoodie with the arms cut off with an expression on his face that says "I know I look like I'm lost but I'm really just desperate to find some ex-lax."

Say hi to Rodney "most penalized player in NFL history" Harrison for me and ask him if he wants to do some lines.
