Default Hector "Macho" Camacho dies

Just damn. RIP Hector.

sounds like a drug deal gone bad

Hector Camacho, 50, Boxer Who Lived Dangerously, Dies

Hector Camacho, a boxer known for his lightning-quick hands and flamboyant personality who emerged from a delinquent childhood in New York’s Spanish Harlem to become a world champion in three weight classes, died on Saturday in San Juan, P.R., after being shot while sitting in a parked car. He was 50.

"The police said that Camacho was shot in the left side of the face on Tuesday night as he sat in a black Ford Mustang with a friend, The Associated Press reported. The bullet fractured his vertebrae and was lodged in his shoulder when he was taken to the Puerto Rico Medical Center.

The friend, Adrian Mojica Moreno, was also killed. The police said that two men fled the scene in a sport utility vehicle, but that no arrests had been made. They said nine bags of cocaine were found in Moreno’s pockets and a 10th was found open in the car."

If i'm not mistaken, he's brain dead. Still technically "living" thanks to a respirator. Wonder how long they'll keep him on it?

No...while he was on life support for some time, they took him off of it early this morning.

Puerto Rican boxer Hector "Macho" Camacho was brain dead and on life support after being wounded from gunshots Tuesday night in a drive by shooting near the Plaza del Sol Mall at his own hometown Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Camacho suffered another heart attack at 1:40 a.m. Saturday at which time he was pronounced dead. It was the second heart attack he had suffered after the shooting.
