I know It's still a few months away, and things could change fast, But here's my mock.
R1: Matt Elam, SS, Florida. (I'm not too high on Te'o) R2: Philip Thomas, FS, Fresno State. R3: Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama. R4: Michael Buchanan, DE, Illinois. R5: Ray Graham, RB, Pittsburgh. R6: Brandon Kaufman, WR, Eastern Washington. R7: Blaize Foltz, OG, TCU. Last edited by bhandsome08; 01-18-2013 at 04:00 PM. |

Michael Buchanan, DE, Illinois. as mocked by walterfootball.com in the 4th as well is my personal favorite. A good combine may move him up considerably though.
I also have been wanting a double dip at safety the way we have done at linebacker and Corner in years past, but with all the turnover this year it may not be done as early as you suggest. I would believe WR will be taken no later then round 3 this year with another coming late. |

I'd love to draft a pair of safeties, to grow together... but, there are other needs that WILL be filled first. I know 1 safety will be drafted early... and maybe another safety late, but that's about it. Matt Elam is my favorite player in this draft, and I've liked Nico Johnosn for a while. |

The only WR I'd like to have are Justin Hunter or DeAndre Hopkins in the 2nd round and try to get one of these safeties in the Later rounds (Swearinger or Duke Williams).

I like the Elam pick in #1, but am thinking maybe Corey Lemonier OLB Auburn in round 2 and a RB like LeVon Bell, Theo Riddick or Jonathan Franklin in round 3. and hoping Ryan Swope WR lasts until the 4th. If Spence and Timmons can start together and Sylvester backs up along with another prospect or veteran like Foote or Scott Fujita (who I think the Browns will release) then we dont need an ILB right away. If Spence is dinged, then I like RD1-Mingo or Jordan RD2- Shayne Skov RD3- Swearinger RD4 - Swope or a RB like Marcus Lattimore from South Carolina.

Hoping the Steelers take at least one of the many good Safeties this year. I think the Steelers are good with Jason Worilds for now. As for receivers, I'd prefer they get tall, big WR. Some like Aaron Mellette, Brandon Kaufman or Mark Harrison, Maybe even Marqueis Gray (project). All these guys can be had in rounds 5-7. As for RB, I really want Graham from the Pitt Panthers. |
