Late round or UFA
right now the only one they have being drafted is Josh Johnson Cb from Purdue and that's in the 6th
I haven't been able to find any tape on any of these guys yet ...
Josh Johnson - CB - Purdue - Projected 6th round
Career stats(3 yrs) - 5 int - 36 Pass deflections - 7 Force Fumbles - 179 Tackles - 145 Solo (shows he willing to tackle which is a must for a Steelers DB)
Nigel Malone - CB - Kansas State - Projected UFA
Career Stats (2 yrs) - 12 INT - 28 Pass deflections
I don't know why a guy with that kind of production is projected as a UFA ... but yeah if he does fall to UFA I would be on the phone with him first thing
Phillip Steward - OLB - Houston - Projected UFA - I would take a chance in the 7th, I'm going to break his stats down
10 INT in 4 yrs at OLB and 28 Pass defelctions ... says he thinks he's best at covering receivers ( a very big + mark in my book for todays NFL)
only 14 sacks but 11 this year ... In an interview they said Houston changed defensive schemes, I don't know if they went from a 4-3 to a 3-4 , or vice versa ... But either way He was obviously asked to cover receivers more in his first 3 years, and as a senior was asked to rush the QB and responded with 11 Sacks and 19 for loss and 5 force fumbles ... while still catching 2 INT
