With Wallace having played his last days in the Burgh, I say keep Plaxico, who better to learn from than a receiver that left for "more" money and had to learn a hard life lesson? Also, he is one of Ben's favorites, this guy could teach alot to Brown and Sanders, I say keep him next year for the vet minimum.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him on the team next year. I mean, unless they pull somebody out of thin air I think he will be needed if Wallace is gone.
I no some ppl on here don't like him because of his shooting incident, but the guy can help this team.

Nobody else is gonna sign Plax so we should be able to keep him cheap. He brings the tall, physical dynamiic of a receiver that this team hasn't had since he left, so I'm in favor of keeping him.

They can certainly do worse. I like the idea of keeping him for red zone offenses.

If he's playing for the same deal as this year(950k or so), it's a good deal. It's an extra good deal if Wallace is gone.

He's a size mis-match with his excessive height. I don't like the way he towers over defenders in the red zone. It was a waste to play him today. I have a hard time choosing over Rainey vs Plax in the red zone. I hope they don't keep him because his size will be too noticeable. Lets keep the tradition under Tomlin of having small, hard to cover receivers.

Yeah, it would great to keep Plaxico, and give him a shot next year, but it looked like his bow to the fans after that touchdown catch was him signifying his farewell to Pittsburgh, and maybe the NFL, too. I'm sure that he is aware of his status with the Steelers more than we are. The way they dumped Hines Ward, I would be surprised if they kept Plaxico around, but it would be cool if they did.

If they keep Plax and lose Wallce, they still have one of the more dangerous units in the league. That gives you a very good #2 (AB), a good #3 (Sanders) and 2 very good #4's (Cotch and Plax). We would be missing a true #1. I think though that Haley's offense doesn't neccessarily call for that type of a guy. I know that sounds stupid, because who doesn't want a #1 WR but I think it depends on your definition of #1. If it's a guy who can FLY and "take the top off of the defense" then we wouldn't technically have that but if it's a guy who can catch the ball and make plays, we have that in AB and Sanders. Both are explosive. I know that Sanders really needs to learn to hang on to the ball but man they are both pretty damn good. I'm excited for next year and we still have the draft to fill that role.
