Steelers should go no huddle a lot more often

Ben is definately at his best when he is in no huddle and with Haleys offense dedicated to getting the ball out of Bens hands fast it is our best interest to run it often. Our recievers are young enough to not wear down fast but yet experienced enough to not mess up! This would not only help Ben but it would also help our offensive line by keeping the defense on there heels therfore sack totals would be down significantely. I feel this would also raise our efficiency in the redzone which has been severely lacking for 2-3 years! With the defense on there heels the running game would also dramatically improve which would catapult the STEELERS into the playoffs! PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!

Yep. I agree and getting an every down back that can do it all and not need a break every two plays would be awesome ! I hope we get a great back in this draft !

This offense is not designed to score points. This offense is designed towards TOP and ball control. The offense works perfectly in its capacity.

On this we can agree. I have been telling everyone after Haley was brought in, it was to get back to a more balanced attack. Other than the late 70's and the 95 team with O'Donnell at the helm did we score much over 23-25 points per game. As long as the defense can play well we will shorten the game and limit our opponents to less possessions. We in turn have to be more efficient in our scoring. Less turnovers by us, and maybe more turnovers by the defense. We can win with this formula, as long as the defense plays well, and our running game can keep us out of too many obvious passing downs.

Did a quick history check and since the advent of the 16 game season in '78, the Steelers most prolific scoring years were 79 with 416 points, followed by that 95 season with 407, and sitting at third is 2007's team at 393. But i realize that does not answer the question of more no-huddle. I for one would like to see more than last year anyway.

Ben's been asking to go no huddle, the whole fucking Steeler nation has been saying go no huddle, but I'm sure we'll continue to see little of it.

Trying to go no-huddle without a legitimate running attack is a waste of time and Haley recognized this. If they know your entire hurry up is based on your pass attack, it's easy to shut down. As confusing as this might sound, a legitimate hurry up offense is just as much the ability to run the ball than it is the ability to pass with success.

If we get a legitimate Running Back and improve our running attack, we can improve our offense and thus open it up to drives on the no-huddle.
