Fast forward to 2012......8 years older, a convicted felon and had not played in over a year. I just don't grasp how people on this board could possibly think this guy could be a key piece to a Winning team.
Is he a key piece to a winning team? No, even Plax himself knows it. However, after all those years, maybe now he realizes that he couldn't be lazy and couldn't give up plays? It doesn't make him a better player than before. He's 36. But we are not saying he should be a No.1/No.2 either. What he brings to the Steelers is something that the Steelers don't have, especially when you take Heath Miller's injury into account.

That's how I remember it. Plus, lots of drops on easy catches, offset by the occasional spectacular catch. A maddening underachiever.

Still, I kind of like having him around for depth for another year as long as it's cheap. Also, it seemed that he matured a bit after his prison time, and maybe some of that might rub off on our young guys.

There is plenty of reason to doubt the Coaching Staff right now. This season wasn't just plagued by injuries it was also plagued by bad decision making. Speifically on the part of Tomlin. From personnel to failed 4th down attempts.

There's no doubt that Tomlin exposed some stupidity that I thought he left behind in the 2009 season.
