Arizona Cardinals : The Cardinals' search for a head coach and general manager continues into a second week. The team has already interviewed current defensive coordinator Ray Horton and met with Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy on Saturday. Though no interview has taken place, the Cardinals requested permission to interview Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley, who was the Cardinals' offensive coordinator from 2007-08. On Sunday, the Cardinals requested permission to interview Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden Steve Keim, the team's vice president of player personnel, remains the top candidate for the team's general manager position, but is drawing interest from other clubs. The Cardinals have also interviewed Washington Redskins director of pro personnel Morocco Brown for the GM post. Buffalo Bills : The Bills concluded their head coaching search by hiring Syracuse University head coach Doug Marrone, who was introduced by the team on Monday. Bills CEO Russ Brandon had interviewed Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton, former Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt and Oregon head coach Chip Kelly before hiring Marrone, who coached the Orange to a 25-25 record over four seasons after inheriting a program that had won just 10 of its previous 47 games. Carolina Panthers : Owner Jerry Richardson decided that the team made enough progress in the second half of the season to keep head coach Ron Rivera for a third season. Now comes the task of finding a full-time replacement for general manager Marty Hurney. Interim GM Brandon Beane is a candidate as is New York Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross. The club has also received permission to interview Giants senior pro personnel executive Dave Gettlemen as their search is expected to intensify this week. Chicago Bears : GM Phil Emery is casting a very wide net in his search for Lovie Smith's replacement. Candidates for the position include, but is not limited to, Atlanta Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan, Dallas Cowboys special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis, Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Clements, Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman, Houston Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell. More names could be added to the list, but Emery hopes to have a head coach in place by the East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 19. Cleveland Browns : Believed to be the favorites to land Oregon head coach Chip Kelly, the Browns pulled out of the running and "rebooted" their head coaching search over the weekend. The Browns have already interviewed Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton and former Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt last week. The Browns also met with Penn State's Bill O'Brien, who remained with the Nittany Lions, and Syracuse's Doug Marrone, who accepted the Bills' job early Sunday morning. Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and CEO Joe Banner are expected to interview Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman as part of their rebooted head coaching search.
