49ers open at 3 &1/2 over Falcons and Patriots at 10 over Ravens
http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/ No surprise Patriots are big favorites but Falcons getting 3 & 1/2 at home is surprising (I thought that game would open as a pick 'em) - guess the assumption is the Falcons dfefense will get shredded |

I am surprised about the 10 point line in the AFC game-certainly I am a little biased.
Ravens just beat the Broncos. (They were favored by 9 1/2.) NO ONE OUTSIDE OF MD EXPECTED THAT. I know it went to OT, but take the two special teams TD's from the Broncos and you have a real pic of the game. Our offense out played them and our D dominated them. PLUS, the Ravens beat the Pats (in Baltimore) earlier in the year. I would have expected a 5-7 point spread. |

If Atlanta plays a smart game on D they should be able to handle the 49ers. Make that young QB beat you with his arm. GB played a terrible defensive plan.
As for the Pats and Ravens, come on...the Ravens will have to play their best to win. I think that Flacco is going to have to prove he deserves a big contract.

Hate to say it, but Ravens/Falcons Super Bowl - which would be the Jason Garrett bowl.
If you remember, after the 2007 season(when Dallas got the top NFC seed and made an early exit), Garrett was offered the HC jobs from both teams, until Jerry gave him a raise to stay in Dallas. Subsequently, both teams got no-name coaches and drafted QBs in the first round(which were much maligned until the end of this weekend). Fast-forward to the present day - both teams have made the playoffs every year(except for Atlanta in 2009), while Garrett went through back-back 8-8 seasons as HC in Dallas after taking over for Wade Phillips. |

I would take the 2 dogs plus the points. I expect the 49ers to win outright, and the Ravens to make a game of it, but lose by 6 or 7 points.
