Considering how pathetically abysmal our offense was this year, is it really this likely we will be taking a defender 1st round?

Don't agree with any of those picks. Lewis should be back and Allen is a rising star no need for cb in first. Elam maybe but not tht high trade bck would be ok for him or vaccaro I like vaccaro better though cause of his coverage skills. And McClendon will man the nt no need for another de in first we have hood and heyward.

Alright with Elam obviously, but NO to the corner and a big NOOOOOO to the DT's, especially with Manti and good OLB's on the board in several of those situations.

It's much, much more likely we go OLB in the first round. With Art Rooney saying we 'need to get pressure on the Quarterback and that will translate into turnovers', I guarantee he'll be whispering in Colbert's ear. So, that being said, look for Mingo or Jordan to be taken in the first round barring something spectacular happens.

CB - NO!!!

NT - I understand the idea (Casey is old; Ta'amu is in trouble; and McClendon is unproven)... but, I do not see it being a NT.

Matt Elam - YES!!!!!!!!!

I think the Jonathon Banks pick might happen.

1. Tomlin is a DB coach who missed on Revis when Taylor was still on the team.
2. Swaggin' will be 35 next year.
3. Keenan Lewis reportedly want a 7 million / year contract despite having 1 career interception.
4. Banks is a 6'2 former safety who plays the physical style needed for the Steelers system.

I actually like the Banks pick. Mingo or Te'o would be more helpful though and from film Elam has really nice instincts.

OLB is the biggest current need. All these analysts have the Jets picking OLB... don't they desperately need a WR? When Holmes went down their leading receiver finished with 56 catches. Chargers are in the same boat. Arizona is another 3-4 team that desperately needs help on offense.

I think there will be several OLBs available.

Tomlin didn't miss on Revis, he was picked 1 pick AHEAD of us in that draft. ESPN sucks for mock drafts and for alot of their analysis. It's like they read 1 or 2 things from a local writer and run with it. They write shit about Ben and Haley not getting along (not true) our Defense being old (even with a number 1 ranking and several #1 drafts picks on Dline over the past few years). I agree that Elam would be awesome or the OLB from Georgia.
