Part of the issue with Brady's legacy is that he came out gangbusters.

10-0 in his first 10 post season games.

7-7 in his last 14.

His TD to interception ratio has also been terrible in those last 14.

We tend to remember recent history.

All of their SBs have been close win or lose.
Isn't that just it though. They won close games using cheated to gain a slight advantage. It wasn't a fool proof plan to dominate the other team. But having the right D called or adjusting slightly at the line of scrimmage or getting a little jump in the right direction on the snap got a less talented team over the hump against better competition.
They were not as talented as the teams they beat in a lot of those playoff games.

I'll equate the cheating this way. I play a guy at a sport weekly. He's pretty much a cheating SOB, but it's hard to find a game with decent competition on my side of town so we continue to play. The cheating is always there, but is amplified late in games coming down to the wire. Occasionally he will win a game he shouldn't have won because of it.

It's just an extra little edge he gets that he wouldn't be allowed to get in a tournament setting with a ref.

Well. This is not going to help Ben's image cause Ben has been clearly outplayed by the 3 QBs he's faced in the SBs he's played, even if he ended up with 2 rings.

Cool story, bro. In case you hadn't noticed, Roethlisberger has nothing to do with the thread. I also don't ever recall Roethlisberger getting endlessly knobslobbed as the "BEST EVURRRRR," either.

Very true.

Well said.
