With the chances that we lose either Keenan Lewis or Ike Taylor to Free Agency, I wonder what kind of contingency plan we may have.

Cortez Allen and Curtis Brown can be considered decent, but after that we have absolutely nobody. Golden and Victorian are at this moment, special teamers at most.

If Lewis really sits and demands 7+million a year, I have a hard time seeing the steelers paying that. Aqib Talib is a decent corner, but he fits the steelers mold of an aggressive guy who is not afraid to hit. A lot like Ike Taylor.

If Lewis really wants 7+ a year and Talib would come for 3.5-4, I think not considering this move would be foolish. I'm not sold on him, but it would be wise to take a look.

With his hamstring injury last night, he can join Woodley in the training room (haha)

Ike Taylor's not a FA for a while. He was just extended. Anyhow can't see a scenario where we'd take on Talib.

didnt he have an arrest? or was it someone else in Tampa? not sure but if so, no way they take that on after the Rainey and NT issues this year.

Ike Taylor signed a 4 year deal in 2011. He should have 2 years left.

Lewis might be gone- no one is going to give him 7 million per year though.

3 2012 Probowl corners make less than 7 million per year.

Just because some other teams have been lucky enough to get top shelf talent at bargain prices does not mean the rest of the league will. We may have to pay more than we would like to sign a player like Lewis. I like a bargain as much as the next fellow but everybody is looking for the same bargains and good corners do not grow on trees.

IMO Curtis Brown is not a decent CB yet. After his play this season there's still a ways to go before you can call him anything but a liability at that position.

If KL demands 7 mil a year then let him keep demanding while he's parked on a couch somewhere,
He's up 7 coming, but he hasn't proved to be consistant for a few years straight yet, but if that ever happens he's still not worth 7 mil. A few picks would help his cause.

Talib is awesome. Lewis is better, but if in some weird scenario we could get Talib for half the price Id take it.
