Yes, Smith has posted an impressive record during his tenure in Atlanta. However, this isn't the first time his team has blown 2nd half/4th quarter double digit leads, as we've seen in this year's playoffs.

Yeah, coming into the Niners game, he was undefeated going into the 4th quarter with leads, but nonetheless numerous times his team was able to dodge bullets after giving up leads late in games. But this time around it has finally nipped them in the bud.

FYI, this was pretty much why Wade Phillips was ran out of Dallas(for doing the same thing - allowing his team to lay off the gas pedal when grabbing double digit leads). From what I've seen, Smith is Phillips v. 2.0.

His team has been regular season strong (11-5, 9-7, 14-2, 11-5, 13-3) but blow it in the playoffs. If it wasn't for some Marvin lewisesque game management from Pete Carroll and last second heroics from Matt Ryan his team would be 0 for the playoffs. They were less than a couple bounces away from losing to Seattle after chucking up a 20 point lead, and blew a 17 pointer the very next week. Of they'd lost to Seattle he'd definitely be on the hot seat, but was the "win" really convincing enough to give him insurance, I don't think so.
How is Pete Carroll responsible for horrific on the field execution by guys who gave no hint before those 2 plays that they would blow it?

Should Mike Smith's be warm?

In my opinion, no. He has had great success in the regular season in Atlanta. He has built a team that has shown it can win, both on defense and offense. Smith has a franchise QB in Matt Ryan, solid offense with 2 good RBs and WRs. He has all the tools to be successful for at least the next several seasons.

However, that only goes so far. The big knock on Smith and Atlanta is winning in the playoffs. They finally won this year, but came up short in the NFC Champ Game. Despite this, IMO give the man 1 or 2 more years. If he can't get to the SB, then put him on the hot seat. But IMO I don't think you fire a guy who has turned the Falcons into a winner for the first time since Mike Vick and Dan Reeves.

On the other hand, for those who think he should have some fire below him, I can understand. The Falcons have not lived up to expectations in the playoffs in the last 3-4 years.
