He is one of my favorite players of all time but if it were up to me I would cut him then cry like a baby. I can't imagine our team without him but he has missed to many games and isn't worth the big paycheck anymore in my eyes. Like Cower said, you pay for what they can do not what they did.

Cut Troy and draft Jonathan Cyprien in the third round. In the second, pick up Amerson to be Ryan Clark's replacement and they can both play in 2014. Seems like a pretty easy solution here guys.

That's why I love Cowher! The man is awesome. His playoff record sucked, but as a man, awesome! Don't panic, reassess and make hard decisions. I always forget that we had to let Lloyd, Woodson and Lake leave. I was thinking there was no way in hell that Troy isn't on thsi team next year but who knows??? Maybe eevn Ryan Clark, their (IMO) Defensive MVP last year. Either way, we will be fine. Drafted, again IMO, the right way the past few years. We will have some growing pains but with BB, all is possible! Go Steelers '13-'14!!!

Then obviously they need to get some more players that can create turnovers. That will not happen as long as we keep the same old guys out there who have not done the job for the past two years. I don't get how turnovers aren't factored into being a top ranked defense. Because I kept hearing that the Steelers had the #1 defense last season. Frankly, that was not even close to a top ranked D.

Uggggh.....he's rooting for the Ravens? Can't see it.
I buy the respect thing and representing the AFC North, BUT I would never root for the Right Reverend Ray Lewis and that crybaby Harbaugh. Problem is I'm then pulling for the other crybaby Harbaugh. This matchup sucks. |

As for Troy, he's one more concussion from done, and he STILL will not form tackle. You throw your head at someone's legs, you're going to get dinged. Last year when he was out, after a couple of rough games ( Taylor really struggled during this time) adjusting to life without Troy, I thought they played solidly in the secondary. I'll agree about the lack of turnovers. Speaking of which, I've never seen so many gifted athletes NOT being able to track a ball in the air, They are pathetic. We don't need replacements, we need an optometrist...... |

My guess is 2013 will be the end for Troy - that will be 11 seasons
He actually appeared to show more of the old Troy the last 2 games of the season - it would be nice if he went out with a good year' Troy will end up in the HOF but candidly his only 2 fine seasons since the first Super Bowl win in 2005 were 2008 and 2010 (until he was injured in the second Cincinnati game that year and was worthless in the playoffs) |
