I'll be negative (shocker, I know) but in a good way - it sucks that the Ravens won a SB - feels like bizzarro world - there were two extremely aggressive teams that played last night - the Steelers need to change their approach to every team to get back to the big show

the upside to the Ravens being champs? They won't handle the target on their back - and yea, I agree that it will motivate Ben and co.

Nope.

To me, it's annoying to hear. I'm honestly sick of it.

"We had a complete shit season and didn't even make the playoffs, but at least we have 6 championships spread over 80 years of team history!"

We just watched the Ravens win the fucking SuperBowl THIS YEAR. Who CARES what we did 40 years ago?

Someone let me know when the Ravens quit ducking Charlie Batch and actually beat us in a Playoff game

there is no doubt in my mind that this current version of the Steelers we just witnessed, would have got whooped at M&T this playoffs. The Ravens got healthy and peaked - I'm a huge Steelers fan, but I'm not crazy either. The Ravens had a special year this year. If you remember, our SB teams had some really tough losses that made them mentally tough.

The Steelers needed to be humbled, they should feel humbled and I hope they are if they want to sniff an AFC champ game.

Recent history. Okay. That would be ten years, yes?

In the past ten years, the Steelers have been to 3 SuperBowls, winning two. No other team has more Lombardis in that time (NYGiants 2, Taperiots 2), and only the Taperiots have more appearances (4).

And you're angry at recent history because...???

Better yet, since BB was drafted, the Steelers have been to 3 SuperBowls, winning two. No other team has more Lombardis in that time (NYGiants 2), and only the Taperiots have the same number of appearances (3... but, only one victory).

So, again, you're angry at recent history because...???

Can't believe how happy some Steeler fans are that the Ratbirds won...myself? I can't stand it! Wonder if Ryan Clark was in their locker room again....

chill dude - these guys are human beings - they don't carry the hate that Steelers fans do - they are in fact friends with other human beings from other teams

It is more a business transaction than ever before. Myself? I couldn't befriend my arch-rivals, but then again - I'm not getting paid six to eight figures to play a game.

I disagree only because of the historical pucker factor that Joe had against the Steelers in playoff and big games. Its about matchups, we matchup bad against the Patriots but matchup very well against the Ravens. Losing Heath would have been hard to overcome, but I wouldnt be scared of the Ravens in the playoffs. Playing in Denver without Clark would have had me more concerned. Not saying we could have won it all this year as we were set up, but I dont think the Ravens would have beaten us in the playoffs. They lost to us with Batch. Pschologically, that would have counted for something. They beat the Pats, the Pats beat us, but we beat the Ravens. Matchups.
