Should have put this in the above post, but oh well. Try simmering the sausage in red wine instead of beer, throw a few basil leaves in the pan and then throw in your onions and green, yellow or red peppers.

They are good people also.
That goes without saying in my house. I dont think anyone here has ever had any other kind of sauce than home made.
