I think this would be a decent pickup if it was for the veteran minimum with incentives...it also gives the Steelers one more year to see if Spence is going to be available. He would definitely bring leadership and better play beside Timmons at least for 1 year. But the deal has to be right. WE NEED VETERAN LEADERSHIP!!!

I fucking hate getting beat on 3rd and 15 all the fucking time because our soft zone goes softer, know what I mean?

Why would the Steelers even be in the conversation about acquiring Freeney?

The Steelers front office sure doesn't seem to be in love with Worilds like all y'all are.

maybe it's just me
so would keisel get the axe....Hood and Heyward are more suitable for the 4-3 DT position

This year is shaping up to sound line a "stop gap" year, like the front office knows the Steelers will have trouble contending, so they're using this year to get by and re-tool for next season and beyond.

Then again, I'm just a stupid fan. We'll probably wind up in the Super Bowl. Every year I think we're screwed, we wind up there.

IDK I like this better than Freeney. He is old and not used to a 3-4, but he was still good last year (not great) and the alternative is another aging veteran in Foote. Way more upside than a Freeney signing. Learning the scheme is a small concern but it shouldn't be TOO big a deal for a player of his caliber.

Urlacher plays hard every down, why not sign him if the Steelers can swing a deal?

He will want more than 2 million a season.

It's hilarious when you people get all bunched up and start exaggerating a person's opinion.

I would put anyone in front of Foote.

By the way, if I ran the Steelers Kordell would have never started at QB and Woodley would have been cut instead of receiving that absurd contract.
