Default James Harrison meeting with Bengals

Outspoken linebacker James Harrison is visiting the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, Mike Garafolo and Joe Reedy of USA Today report. This according to a person informed of the meeting between the sides. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team doesn't comment on free-agent visits.

Harrison was to meet with the Baltimore Ravens recently and was in Baltimore but did not meet with the team because the Ravens reached an agreement with Elvis Dumervil instead.

The Steelers cut him after attempts to work out a pay cut from his scheduled salary of $6.57 million failed.

Since the Bengals play a 4-3 not certain this a good fit

According to PFT

He could project as a strong-side linebacker in the Bengalsí base defense as well as a defensive end in passing situations. Manny Lawson, who started on the strong side for the Bengals in 2012, departed in free agency.

Bottom line is Harrison let his pride cost him big $$ by not taking the Steelers offer - for his sake I hope this is not a repeat of the sad ending of Franco Harris in Seattle in 1984

I really hope that after the draft we bring back JH at the reduced salary. I think he still has a 12-14 sack season in him.

don't like the sound of this, Bengals have a lot of money to spend on a player for one year.

Wow, their defense was already pretty damn good, Harrison would be a lethal addition.
