Steelers lose chance at Duckett - Page 2

I guess that is my point.. why draft a HB that is unproven in the first 3 rounds if we could have had someone who fits our system perfectly and is a 3rd round ? I am not happy with our running back situation per say.. but i just thought for what we need, and to have someone that could be here for a long while... i dont see why we didnt

Money. Taking into consideration that we have Ben, Troy, Parker and Ike coming on up for contracts, how much are they paying Duckett?

Also, who's to say the Steelers were all that impressed with Duckett to begin with?

He can have fun sporting a Redskin jersey while playing on a team with a QB who hit his peak back in 1998. Unlike the Redskins FO, I have complete confidence and faith in our FO to make the right decisions.

It would have been nice but I agree with 83. Third rounder is too pricey.

As for being deep at RB....sorry I just don't see it. I don't see how we can keep Duce on the roster considering we have players that we need to protect from getting signed elsewhere. I haven't even seen a flash or a glimmer of what he was two years ago. He is slow even with the first team o-line. Only because of this does Humes even have a chance to make the roster for the Miami game.

I'm wondering if we are going to see Kuhn with the first team o-line Friday night.

i hope, some are saying Humes might not make the roster, i really like the kid, saw him play alot at VT, thought he was better then a 7th round pick.

see u think like me, and obviously the skins. But whos the one with the ring? As much as i hate the moves they DONT make, and certain moves they do make, i have to somehow trust them....

get used to it too haha, if u already arent.

I trust em too, but they obviously wanted Duckett.. they tried twice to get him which tells me that the Steelers coaching staff/ front office isnt sold on our running back situation either.

I dont think Brunell is a bad QB, there are alot worse out there and this year he certainly has alot of weapons to choose from. The Redskins may suprise alot of people and that divsion over there is going to be tough !! Duckett just adds some depth and make Washinton have i think the best RB tandem in league with Portis, Betts, and Duckett as well as a pretty good receiving core to boot.

but back to the Steelers, i can see us making a move still.. with them dangling Staley.. it shows we want to do something.
