THEN, Tyler Eifert is available at 23. Atlanta really wants Eifert. So, Pittsburgh trades back to 30, acquiring Atlanta's R3 pick (92).

At 30, the pick could be Arthur Brown, who I think could be the pick at 17... but, at 30, it's a better value. [Note: Obviously, in a perfect world, Matt Elam is available at 30... but... I won't get greedy. LOL]

30: ILB Arthur Brown
48: OLB Corey Lemonier
79: SS DJ Swearinger
83: RB John Franklin/Le'Veon Bell/Marcus Lattimore
92: TE Gavin Escobar
R4: WR Swope, Dobson, Patton, Wheaton, Hamilton, Goodwin, Stills, Joyce...
i like this but the only problem is,

i dont see Swearinger around at 79, or escobar at 92

but if that feel that way..

i'd trade ben for an 8th round pick and start charlie batch at qb.

i think the falcons like Eifert,

cant say i blame them..

in their opinion they are one player away, which based of the title game last year, its hard to disagree with. and who better to learn at te from then gonzo.

and that would be a scary offense, with that set of wide outs.

as i stated a few weeks ago, trade back trade back trade back

i like him, but not at 17..

BUT than again if 10 years from now you drafted at 17 and he goes to 8 pro bowls, and helps win a super bowl, the difference between taking him at 17 or 23 wont matter.

i mean that would really give us an added dimension on offense..

i mean think about a 4th and goal from the 5 yard line, super bowl on the line..
5 wide, crotch, burress, brown, miller and eifert. with the 400 pounder at qb... scary

Alas... I truly think that it was a steroid issue (his frame could not handle all of the muscle that he put on). If I recall correctly, he entered UGA at 190, and left at 240... Now, I'm not accusing him, but... the huge amount of injuries that set in so quickly was a huge red flag.

Regardless, that play-off game against the Browns... good GOD!!! Now, THAT is how one plays LB!!!

The trade math works out to a R3 pick. If it were both of their R1 picks, I would take that yesterday, Heck, I'd even throw in Pittsburgh's R2 pick, because I would feel bad for them giving up so much for six spots in the draft.

Anyway, a R3 pick is the "mathematical" equivalent... but, when dealing with trades, it's a matter of how badly a team wants to trade up. If they want Austin, and he's there at 17, the Steelers could probably get a R3 AND a R6 pick.

Eifert. He would make their passing game deadly.

Roddy White, Julio Jones, Tyler Eifert... Matty Ice would have 6,000 yards passing and 40 TDs.

if theres so much value after the first round then why did the steelers overpay for sanders and turn down a 3rd?
