I like having him on the team, just not relied on as a starter.

I'm glad he's back on board, but not as a starter.

Leadership, experience, toughness.....he brings all of those to the team.

But his age and deteriorating skills concerns me since we consider him a starter.

In pass coverage he is a bad. In 2008 he was statically the most burned LB in the NFL. He hasn't shown any improvement. There is a reason people call him Slow-of-Foote
+1 Couldn't agree more.

Larry can't shed a block to save his life.

Any OC worth a damn that wanted to run successfully against the Steelers ran right at Foote 90% of the time. The one flaw he had coming into the league (size) is showing up more an more against the run.

Should've been an all pro all those years, including when he left us to go to the lions. :/

Seriously? An asset?

Like the video where they show the TE get caught up in traffic coming off the line? A couple of plays means nothing. Even Woodley can make a play in pass coverage, but I wouldn't say he is good at it

He's a decent backup, but as a starter he falls short.

foote isn't an impact player but he plays great assignment football. you can't have a pro bowler at every position, i think foote does his job well enough

I hope that Spence heals his drop foot so we can drop Foote.

And a proven run-stopper throughout his career.

Larry Foote is probably one of our defenses most important players, and I literally watched in awe as he outperformed some of our younger linebackers and blitzed right by some of games best lineman to generate pressure on the QB, and on top of all that, he was proficient pass defender.

Probably one of the better signings of the offseason, imo.
Sorta funny Larry Foote was one of the weakest links of our defense 4 or 5 years ago, now he is an asset.

Not a good sign.
