Default With The Draft A Day Away, What Was The Best Steelers Late Round Draft Pick?

With the draft a day away and a very deep draft class, who in your opinions is/was the Steelers best late round draft pick? I'll list a few IMO:

John Stallworth
Mike Webster
Rocky Bleier
Hines Ward

What does the Steeler faithful think?

As far as round-to-value, it would probably have to be Donnie Shell. He was a twelfth round pick (or, was he even drafted at all???). Anyway, he was a very late pick-up, and he was very good.

James Harrison was undrafted, and he has the best play in SuperBowl history.

Greg Lloyd was my favorite player of all time, and he was a stud (sixth round), but Shell was taken twice as far down as Lloyd was, and Harrison wasn't even drafted.

One of those three...

I wouldn't consider 3rd round to be late round. In today's 7-round format, I would consider rounds 5-7 to be late round. On the current team, Antonio Brown is looking pretty good for a 6th round pick.

Chris (Hokey Pokey) Hoke .......

Chris would rush the passer from the nose tackle position.... He was a mad man the whole game long.... A generator for the whole team... One reason we were 8-8 was because his retirement after 11 season....

He started the basically the whole 04 15-1 season... Some feel he was better overall than Hampton.... I think they should have made a hybrid d with both of them on the field in packages.... That would have been neat....

If The made a "MONEYBALL" movie about football, HOKE would have been # 1 on the list for most under valued players......

Yeah Antonio Brown is a good one. I like James Harrison except he was an undrafted free agent. FWP another UDFA.

Ike Taylor was a steal in the 4th. Brett Keisel in the 7th. Darren Perry in the 8th. Justin Stryzelczyk in the 11th. Hardy Nickerson in the 5th. Greg Lloyd in the 6th.

The rest are before my time.

The best have been said but I'll add Fast Willie Parker as an undrafted guy. That run in the 3rd quarter of XL is a favorite play of mine all-time.

His name is too hard to type/spell. Must of been hard on him a long long time ago when he was just small. Can you imagine how dumb you would feel not being able to spell your own name until the 6th grade?

Yeah that is one of my favourite plays ever as well. Nobody talks about that one but the Steelers don't win that game without that play. The other great play was the ARE to Ward pass. Those 2 big plays completely changed the outcome of an otherwise flat offensive performance.

If the Steelers draft ex QB Jordan Reed maybe we could see a return to gadgetry but I am sure I am getting ahead of myself.
