Isn't he academically ... slow?

How many routes did Mike Wallace run for us? Receivers and running backs are usually the positions most likely to make an instant impact. There's no "two year learning curve", there wasn't with Wallace, Brown, or Sanders. Or Holmes.

Either way, I don't buy the interest in Patterson. Isn't it convenient to anyone else that this report leaked the day before? If someone like the Pats want him now, they're going to have to trade up because the Steelers have "interest" in him.

I think it's a smokescreen, but I've been wrong before.

I don't see either lasting till 17 if Patterson is a available past 12 I would bet teams will be trading up to get him. And jets could be selecting jones early.

yeah seems like more smoke than anything else..
no one releases who they are drafting with a mid first round pick before the draft.

everyone keeps saying jones is poor against the run and this and that.

in his career he has over 40 tackles for a loss..
over 20 sacks.

if he is making tackles in the back field and sacking the quarterback its hard to not like that
and its also something we have been lacking lately..

because i dont think he will be liability against the run to the point where its a 5 yard run his way everytime

The big question is can we trust woodley and worldis?

Here's a stat for everyone: Jarvis Jones had more sacks this past season than Dion Jordan, Ezekiel Ansah, and Barkevious Mingo...combined.

And that was in the SEC which so many people use as the "be all, end all measurement of how a player will do in the NFL" for some reason.

Even though we sent our entire contingent to Tennessee's pro day and he's been commonly linked to us throughout the process?
