Default what is your best case scenario and final mock for the steeler look like?

round 1 jarvis jones olb georgia back up: vaccaro
round 2 dj swearinger safety south carolina back up: robert woods
round 3 da'rick rodgers wide out tennessee tech back up: bell michigan state
round 4 marcus lattimore running back south carolina back up: barrett jones:
round 5 Dion Smith Tight End Michigan State back up: best tight end avaliable
round 6 john simon (who the heck is john smith) olb ohio state back up: BPA
round 6 michael mauti ilb penn state back up: BPA
round 7 ryan griffin qb tulane back up: best back up qb left, or brad wing punter lsu

first round: i'll pretty much be happy with anyone except a wideout at 17, could live with an o linemen i guess
but prefer jones, vaccaro, or eifert(trade down)
obviously unlikely as we dont know what everyone else will do but that would be my 100% best case scenario for us in my opinion.. hitting all are needs without reaching for anyone.. as well as having star potential in there.
added back up just in case

lattimore could be a real home run if he can stay healthy and I expect other running backs to go a head of him because of the knee which will push him into the round 4 range

i dont like the idea of taking a wide out in round 1 would prefer eifert, as we have had success in recent years drafting wide outs in later rounds. and with the depth of the wideout position I think it favors waiting..

no badgering just want to see what all the Steeler Fever GM got before the draft..

End of the day we all want the Steelers to Win and I trust our Front Office will crush this draft...

Happy drafting!!

HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!!!

Great draft board. I think you mean John Simon OLB OSU in the 6th and that would be amazing if he fell that far but the problem with taking Lattimore is that you never know how he rebounds from that 2nd knee injury. If he is the only RB we take we are in trouble. Other than that, solid.

If the Steelers select a WR in the first, he better be AJ Green part 2. Otherwise, Steelers will have a massive hole that wont get filled during the Big Ben era.

This is MY best case scenario draft:

30: SS Matt Elam
R2: ILB Arthur Brown
R3: RB John Franklin/Marcus Lattimore
R3: OLB Corey Lemonier
R3: TE Gavin Escobar
R4: CB Leon McFadden
R5: WR Kenny Stills/Marquis Goodwin
R6: OG Nic Embernate/Joe Madsen
R6: QB Ryan Griffin
R7: DB Rontez Miles

Sans trading down (although, trading down twice & acquiring two R3 picks would be the "best scenario"). Anyway, no trades:

R1: SS Matt Elam
R2: ILB Arthur Brown
R3: OLB Corey Lemonier
R4: RB Marcus Lattimore
R5: WR Kenny Stills/Marquis Goodwin
R6: OG Nic Embernate/Joe Madsen
R6: QB Ryan Griffin
R7: DB Rontez Miles

the trade down would be pretty sweet and gives us alot of options.. i could see one trade down maybe with vikings if they want patterson?

its just a hunch but doesnt seem like jones or vaccaro get to us tonight.. and in that case i hope we trade down..

if we stay pat and jones/vaccaro are gone, i think its gonna be eifert though.. which would be my 3rd option anyway

We've been getting 1st round talent at WR in rounds 3-6 the past few years. Why would we ever take a WR in round one???

I wouldn't call any of the receivers we have "first round talents", comparatively. Even Brown, who is definitely better than a sixth rounder.

Sweed was awful, Sanders is okay but I think he's overrated by some Steelers fans, Brown is good but not great, and Wallace was a boob, minus his speed.

If we get Justin Hunter I'll be psyched. I've been bitching about having short receivers for years, and a lot of people seem to be high on him.

Both Wallace and Brown have made Pro Bowls, are young and have signed mega deals. Hines was a 3rd also.
