Of course these issues could be non-factors but if he fails to live up to 1st round expectations, as I believe he will, then these will have been just a few of the signs.

I hope, if the Steelers draft him, I am 100% wrong...but from what I've seen so far... I don't think I am.

The fact that he hasn't developed his areas of weakness during his time in playing, doesn't bode well for his development in the pros. He will become the Ziggy Hood of our LB corp.

Add onto that his poor 40 time and medical issues...and Jarvis Jones is a trap for any team drafting him in the first round.
i guess everyone has their opinion, whether its the most productive position or not, his job is still to get after the quarterback and make those plays..

His numbers speak for them selves especially considering the competition he plays week in and week out..

the only time he is going to be running a 40 is when he has a strip sack , and the medical issues.. how many games did he miss because of those medicial issues?

rabbit, it seems to me in the day and age of the combine and pro days, more people want to get workout warriors than guys who produced thru out college.
its like they forgot about jones, or teos production in the fall and are only worried about what he did at these combines...

and falling in love with combine numbers is how you pick top 10 on a regular basis.
i trust the front office did their home work and if they have a concern with how jones plays against the run they will be able to address it , with a heck of a lot better coaching than what he had at georgia

I'd love to have Jones (if the Saints or Jets don't take him first) - but i'd REALLY rather have Vaccaro. I think he's a sure long-term star in this league. But i think you're right - almost everyone has the Rams taking him right before us.

New GM in Cleveland, and he does not like Weeden.

St. Louis + Kenny Vaccaro = the lock of the draft. If Austin is gone, they go Vaccaro in a heartbeat. (Those are their top two wishes... and they'll get one.)

thats the likely scenario - because no player's stock in the draft has risen so sharply as Austin's. It seems everyone wants him now. He'll be gone. The Rams take Vaccaro.
The Browns will take Milliner. That almost seems like a lock as much as the Rams/Vaccaro. There's plenty of other QB's the Browns can take in the 2nd if they want one that bad.

I'd like Jones at 17. He has his issues, but people are making too much out of his 40 time. Judge a kid by what you see on film, not by how fast he runs in a straight line for 40 yards.

Vaccaro at 15 makes more sense for the Saints than at 16 to the Rams. The Saints need help all over the board on defense, but they boasted one of the worst pass defenses in NFL history last year which needs to be fixed. Vaccaro would be an instantaneous upgrade for that defense.

I think Mingo is going to fall to us at 17. That's my prediction.

that would be interesting.. who do you think the jets take than?
milliner and austin?

i dont live too far from where the jets facilities are and all I keep hearing is how much Ryan loves Mingo. so i'd be shocked if falls to us, and than also gets past the saints. but its the draft so ya never know

I think they take Austin and Jones if I'm being honest. I don't know how much of a leash Rex has anymore for picks. They haven't hit on picks lately and with a new regime in place, they might be more keen on taking someone like Jones who projects as less of a project and more NFL-ready than Mingo is.

I think Kenny Vaccaro falls to the Saints and they take him which allows us to draft Mingo.

Lot of rumors about the Browns trying to trade up to 3 to take Mingo. Regardless of whether or not that happens, he ain't falling to 17.

Yet another mock that has Jarvis Jones at 17.

Vaccaro goes 16... which seems like a lock (I haven't seen a mock that doesn't have him going to the Rams).

I'm just happy that Matt Elam is still available in R2... and not a Raven. He's available; trade up, Colbert.
A lot of the mocks I have seen had Vaccaro going to Dallas at 18. What would you do if Elam became a Raven?
