Our 1st round pick suffering a serious knee in a pre-season game.

Our 3rd round pick suffering a possible career ending injury.

Our 4th round pick acting like a jerk and (putting it gently) breaking the law.

Our 5th round pick acting like a jerk (again and again) and getting cut for character issues.

1) Steelers draft ANOTHER short receiver
2) Steelers draft ANOTHER short receiver after the second round.
3) Steelers hold off and don't draft an inside linebacker until later than the 3rd round.

That we don't come away with 2 players that can contribute right away. In any role.

I'm with you.
I'm tired of seeing all these guys drafted in rounds 1 and 2 not only starting, but EXCELLING all over the league - while our guys sit their ass on the bench for 3 friggin' years to "learn". It's getting ridiculous.
Other than that - its these mysterious injuries that keep absolutely crushing this team. Really - those are my only concerns. I have faith that Colbert & Tomlin will draft great players.

exactly...

first 2 picks need to contribute in year one, and rest need to be at least on the field in some way shape or form..

worst fear:

drafting geno smith in round 1, or xavier rhodes at 17 (dont mind him in a trade down just not at 17)

I really don't want Patterson in RD 1 ... this is toooo deep of a draft at WR to reach for a WR that best skillset is his Run After Catch

I'd rather have Woods (USC), but I won't complain with Patterson. IMHO he's going to be a better pro than Mike Wallace.
