If thats who theyre targeting, might as well trade the 2nd round pick down and load up on 3rd rounders.

True.
I've mentioned that exact idea (numerous times) in several threads.

But what makes you think Lattimore wont be there in the 3rd round?

Its very possible (very very likely) that they could take Jonathan Banks or Arthur Jones in the 2nd, and still get Lattimore in the 3rd round... Lattimore might even hang around until the 4th round.

However, drafting a guy like Lattimore comes with a lot of risk, and this team always plays it safe during the draft and picks quality guys.

I vote Lattimore in the 4th or later.

I would prefer to take Brown or Swearinger in R2, and then Lattimore in R3.

Actually, I'd prefer to trade down a little bit, and acquire a second R3 pick.

I mentioned Dameshek saying that he thinks that the Steelers are targeting Lattimore in R2.

That would be a HUGE mistake.

If they trade down and get three 3rd round picks... dont know who else Id go for there.

I just hope hes wrong and they play it safe with the 2nd round pick and take a solid player.

My druthers:
Trade back, acquire a R3 pick.

Draft one of the Thomases (or Minter or Brown if they drop that far).

Then, draft the BPA at WR (or Gavin Escobar). And, using that extra pick, draft Lattimore.

Im thinking DaRick Rodgers, Wreh-Wilson/Thomas/Rambo and Lattimore if that happens.
