Default Re: Unpopular opinions you hold

I've been calling out this offense since 2007, the notion that Arians was going to give the keys to Roethlisberger and let him run more of the no-huddle offense. Not only have we consistently had one of the games most VICIOUS defense's year in and year out (let alone make it to 2 Super Bowls in that time frame) we STILL look like absolute monkeys up front to the point where it makes me sick.

If this offense ever got around to keeping their head out of their ass, most notably in the red-zone with the weaponry we've had and not force the defense to work with 10-13 points a game, we could potentially have 2-3 more Super Bowl wins to date.

I don't care WHO or WHAT anybody says, Big Ben is top tier at his position in the game and I'll be angry as a fan to see this team head South in this man's prime years. For ONCE, I want to see this offense put it all-together. Judging by history, that may be too much to ask.

Also, I'd like to see more younger guys get a tad bit more playing time. Watching guys like Cam Heyward and Steve McClendon ride the bench last year didn't sit well with me. These men NEED to play and play NOW. Cowher was ALWAYS stubborn in keeping his over-the-hill veterans on the field. It took guys like Ike Taylor and DeShea Townsend YEARS to finally get more playing time and it's happening again. Hopefully, we give these young men a shot at more playing time and also get some rookies in this years draft class feet a little wet.

Oh yeah, and adding more seats to Heinz Field would do absolute wonders. We're sliding in crowd noise and seating over the years and I want that edge back. Heinz Field is rock-n-roll full of energy, but we've been bypassed by other stadiums so they need to fix that shit and add more seats PRONTO.

I'll start it off with one that would get laughed at by sports pundits and fan almost everywhere. Ben is as good as any quarterback playing today and should be mentioned in the same air as the Bradys and Mannings. He's always had a mediocre offense and the consistently worse line in the league, but always won and usually put up great numbers to boot. He gets buried by most people because of the retarded "Steeler-way" mystique that people can't get around, never put up huge numbers like Manning because he never had top-tier weapons, always had a good defense, and of course the off the field shit. There's not a dude I want playing qb for this team more than Ben.

I'll add some more if this takes off, but I think a controversial Ben comment should do it itself.
Yeah, it's amazing how Ben comes in and goes 15-1 when he's a rookie, and everyone says it's because of the great team around him. He just managed the game. Now, with no offensive line in front of him, including the Super Bowl winning years, it's his fault that the offense is average, and he's had a revolving door of receivers and backs to work with and tons of injuries to overcome. The same people that said he had nothing to do with the team winning before, are saying he's the reason the Steelers lose now. It's truly baffling and frustrating when you talk to people that feel this way about him. The same people that saw the team unable to win big games and Super Bowls for 25 years without him while having incredible talent all over the field, can't figure out that the team has been to three Super Bowls and won two of them with him as the QB with inferior talent at many positions in his eight years as the starting quarterback of the Steelers. Absolutely mind blowing!

......and Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, New England*, Dallas, Oakland and the rest of the goddamn league can go fuck themselves.

......that felt good. I'm ready for 2013. Getting Tebow'ed in '11 and seeing douchebags in the locker room like Mike Wallace mess up the team camaraderie that carried onto the field in a putrid 2012 season still doesn't sit well for this fan.

* Chad Johnson was actually funny sometimes.

* I think James Harrison made the offseason comments about Lamar Woodley.

* I think that Ben was permanently affected by his bike accident, but nobody talks about it.

* I think Polamalu is gay or bi (99.999999999999999999% sure on that one).

* I thought the first girl (Miss Reno) that accused Ben was okay looking (she was very average-- which invites ridicule in our day and age of hyperbole and Jersey-shore girls).

* The new Jar-Jar Abrams Star Trek SUCKS DONG. Someone should tell LOST BOY that it only matters if the earth gets blown up in THIS century-- not the 23rd (piss poor sci-fi writing). Also, since when does a whole graduating class of raw cadets get appointed to all the command positions on the Federation's most advanced starship? WTF is "red matter"? That weird motoring sound at the end of the movie during the credits? That was Gene Roddenberry spinning around in his grave like a helicopter.....

True. Just needed to get it off my chest haha.

In that case, Ben looked like a full-blown rapist in his press conference with the long rat-tail on his head and shaved sideburns. The hell was that all about? Good lord did he look the part.

Screw Star Trek. It's all about MAN OF STEEL baby. The new Superman franchise looks absolutley FANTASTIC and badass. Always a Supes fan.

Though Jerome Bettis will probably remain my all-time favorite Steeler (Ben highly ranks as well, so does Hines) but believe it or not, Kordell Stewart also ranks up there. I LOVED Kordell at a young age and will still defend him 'til this day.

We're at completely opposite ends, I'm a giant Tommy Maddox fan partially because he got rid of Kordell

Also have a very soft spot for Tommy Gun. That 2002 season was MIRACULOUS offensively so it's all good haha.
