I'm eagerly anticipating the band Baroness coming in concert to Ram's Head Live in Baltimore, MD May 25th. They only have 3 albums out so far, but their latest is one of the best albums I've purchased in the last 5 or more years IMHO. Check 'em out!

depends on what you mean by underappreciated. A great artist is always going to have fans that think they're great, and the more obscure they are usually the more vitriolic the reaction they get from their fans. So I'll just assume this is talking about artists who don't get the main stream attention they deserve.

The Shins have a strong following so not sure they are under appreciated. I think Rush is under appreciated though

Yes, bands that should be huge, but maybe only have an underground following and don't get mainstream airplay. Most bands worth their salt are appreciated in some fashion.
