Default The Steelers' Mt. Rushmore

PFT is taking votes, or recommendations, or something, for every team's Mt. Rushmore. In other words, the four greatest players in that team's history.

The only 100%, undeniable, indisputable player that would go on is Joe Greene. I'm not sure who else would sit beside him, though.

Thoughts?

I believe it also is intended to include coaches and owners, so you probably need to make room for the only head coach to win 4 Super Bowls and The Chief

Agree about Joe Greene - my other pick to fill out the quartet would be Lambert - because the Steelers have had so many great players I base my player selections on those who became a symbol of the Steelers

Lambert was my likely #2 as well. I'd rather just pick players, personally, but that isn't up to me. I know the Rooneys and Noll would make it if we were considering everyone, but just picking players makes it more interesting to me.

If we go with players only then I go with Greene, Lambert, Bradshaw (tough pick over Franco) and Troy (need someone from the other generation of Steelers that won a Super Bowl)

Yeah, it's tough to do. We did this at another board and I had a hard time deciding. I did the same thing you did there except Lambert for Bradshaw. How could you not want to see that toothless scowl carved into granite?

haha lambert would be easy to sketch on the mountain with no teeth and all.

but how do you leave off a 4 time super bowl champion
2 time super bowl mvp
the friggin blonde bomber!!!

plus try to keep 2 offense, 2 defense, 2 new school, 2 old school

im interested to see who ends up being picked. very tough to decide

left guys like franco and woodson off because they played for other teams

I stand by my player picks, but I should have added TB to the honorable mentions list.

If this were easy, it wouldn't be worth discussing now would it?
