As someone without children, I have no help or advice.

But good luck with that

I was not ready either (mine is 11 1/2 and just got her period last month). The curse is drawing nearer for me.

What's really scary is the selection. They have padded bras for preteens. That's what really freaked me out.

We went with Fruit of the Loom. They came in a set of 2 or 3, and are a nylon/spandex mix. Just pulls right over, but still has adjustable straps if needed, and come in a variety of colors. Try on a couple sizes, because that's going to be the toughest part. Between 26-32 should be about right.

These are the kind we got... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fruit-of-t...-Pack/22751230

And some other selections, just so you're not wondering around the kids underwear section for too long. I'm sure Target and Kohl's have a similar selection as well.

She's shopping with mom today. I won't be involved in purchasing. My eldest son is 24. Boys are easier. Or maybe just feeling old cuz she's my baby and not a baby.

Yeah, figured Mom would probably be taking her, but wasn't sure. I was completely lost to be honest...and like I said, freaked because of all the padded bras. Those are definitely the best for beginners though.

Time does fly though, and I miss her being a toddler all the time. Just wait till boy's start coming around...

When I told the hubby that Haley had gotten her period, he just kind of whimpered a little when he realized our cycles will probably sync up.

My Mom cried with vengeful tears.

Boys. Yes, boys come next. After the blood the boys come. Like sniffing dogs, grinning and slobbering, trying to find out where that smell is. That...smell!
