Default Man is it even worth owning a vehicle in PA?

Just moved to Pittsburgh in May, it has been a nightmare trying to get my car registered.

In order to get my inspection tags I gotta pay 377 dollars. I couldn't imagine someone needing $1K worth of repairs in order to get passed, what if you can't afford it?

I feel like these garages can just rip people off just so they can make as much money as they can.

We spend so much money on inspection, but I was reading an article the other day that showed studies proving it is a complete waste of money. It doesn't make the roads safer and barely in increase in fatalities (which the increase were due to tires).

sounds like a real hassle. I personally wish there was better public transportation so I didn't need a car myself. it's a lot of money to keep a car running just to drive back and forth to work.

They totally phased out the requirement of getting your vehicle inspected here in Oklahoma years ago, couldn't believe it.
