Default You stay classy Jay Cutler

I can't say that this surprised me all that much but I never thought he'd go so far as to treat his teammates this badly. It's a wonder that his teammates haven't killed him yet.

Read this quote this morning:

“I hope none of you suckwads are expecting me to take you under my wing,” Cutler shouted, tossing his dirty pads in the rookies’ general direction. “Because it ain’t happening. Mentor yourselves, dipshits.”

This just disgusts me. Flat out disgusts me. I'm so glad I am a Steeler fan and so happy that our organization doesn't stand behind players that act like that. Jay Cutler wouldn't make it a year in Pittsburgh with that kind of attitude and with his piss poor uneven performances week in and week out. We have guys like Cotchery taking rookies like Wheaton under his wing to the point that the Coaches have been saying it's like Wheaton didn't even miss all the rookie mini-camp stuff. Polamalu and Clark are taking Thomas under their wings and teaching him how to play defense Steelers style. They are selfless players molded in the image of an organization that has more Super Bowl rings than any other franchise because of the "Steeler Way".

Jay Cutler you make me sick. I wouldn't treat someone I loathe and despise that badly, more or less the guys that work their asses off next to me day in and day out. Rookies or not they deserve better treatment than that. I don't have a problem with friendly hazing and what not but I can tell you if I were a rookie and you tossed your pads at me like a dog, then proceeded to call me a dipshit... I definitely wouldn't put up with that. That's a testament to the patience his teammates have displayed because I wouldn't have demonstrated such restraint in the face of blatant, and outwardly rude disrespect.

I will never respect Jay Cutler and so long as he's Quarterbacking, no team will be winning any championships with him under center and if by some miracle that happens it'll be because his teammates carried his sorry ass.

Quote:
BOURBONNAIS, IL – On Wednesday, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler took time to share some advice with the team’s new rookies, but his words were far from constructive.

Addressing the roster’s youngest members after a morning training camp session, Cutler made it obvious that he had no interest in coddling.

“I hope none of you suckwads are expecting me to take you under my wing,” Cutler shouted, tossing his dirty pads in the rookies’ general direction. “Because it ain’t happening. Mentor yourselves, dipshits.”

Cutler’s words of wisdom are largely reflective of the attitude he takes every year towards his teammates, whom he generally loathes. The seven-year veteran has very little patience for those who might need extra guidance, and he uses every available opportunity to show them his disdain.

“I would literally rather die right now than have to eat lunch next to you,” Cutler recently told wide receiver Marquess Wilson as the rookie tried to sit near him in the training camp cafeteria. “I’m not kidding. It makes me nauseous knowing I have to breathe the same oxygen as you.”

A similar encounter occurred between Cutler and rookie linebacker Jon Bostic, when Bostic was using a urinal ahead of Cutler and, instead of waiting, Cutler simply began relieving himself all over Bostic’s back.

Though head coach Marc Trestman is understandably put off by his quarterback’s behavior, he’s come to accept that there’s nothing he can do about it.

“I tried to sit him down and have a talk to him about his attitude, but he just stared at me with those empty, dead eyes and slowly raised a revolver to his temple,” Trestman recalled. “He wouldn’t put the gun down ‘til I backed away, and at this point I just don’t think it would be wise to confront him again.”

As for Cutler himself, he declined to provide comment for this story, as he was busy grudgingly acknowledging a terminally ill child from the Make-A-Wish organization who his wife had requested that he meet.
